Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25

9.1/10 Our verdictHands-on tested · not gifted

The flat-feet running shoe every store recommends first. I started running two years ago with flat feet — the shop put me in these after watching me walk. Support that stops your foot rolling in, without feeling stiff.

Why the Adrenaline for flat feet

If you have flat feet or overpronate, the Adrenaline GTS is basically the default recommendation — it's the shoe every running store reaches for first. I started running about two years ago with the same issue, and it's exactly what the guy at my local shop put me in after watching me walk. It has support built into the sides that keeps your foot from rolling inward.

What makes it different from other stability shoes

The best part is that it doesn't feel like a "medical" shoe. A lot of stability shoes are stiff and clunky — the Adrenaline just feels like a normal, comfortable shoe that happens to support you. It also holds up well for gym workouts, as long as you go barefoot for heavy squats where you want a flat, stable base.

Buy it if: you have flat feet or overpronate and want support that doesn't feel restrictive. Look elsewhere if: you have neutral/high arches and want a soft, minimal, or "barefoot" ride.

What I liked

  • Genuine overpronation support
  • Doesn't feel stiff or clunky
  • Comfortable straight out of the box
  • Doubles for gym days

What to know

  • Not for a barefoot/minimal feel
  • More shoe than neutral runners need
  • Go barefoot for heavy squats
  • Sizing runs true — try your normal size

Common questions

Are they good for flat feet?

Yes — this is the shoe most running stores recommend first for flat feet and overpronation. The built-in side support keeps your foot from rolling inward.

Do they work for gym workouts?

They hold up well for general gym sessions. For heavy squats, go barefoot so you have a flat, stable base instead of cushioning underfoot.
