Why install-ease beats the spec sheet
With our first kid on the way, I went down the car-seat rabbit hole. I thought it'd be simple, but the safety ratings seem all over the place. I looked hard at the Graco SnugRide, which has good crash-test ratings and is at its current price.
But the Chicco KeyFit is a similar price and people consistently say it's easier to install correctly, which arguably matters more, because a mis-installed seat loses the safety benefit its rating implies. Ease of a correct install is a real safety feature, not just convenience.
