How to make a crochet chart
A color crochet chart is a grid where each square is one stitch, and the color in the square is the yarn color you crochet there. It is the format behind graphgan blankets, tapestry crochet, and corner to corner (C2C) projects. Set the width in stitches and the height in rows to match your design, then click cells to paint your motif. The grid numbers stitches from the bottom-right, because that is where most charts begin.

Reading and using the chart

Single crochet is close to square, so a design charted on this grid comes out with roughly the same proportions in the finished blanket, which is why single crochet graphgans track the chart so faithfully.
