Print a dominoes score sheet for Mexican Train and other round-based domino games. Set your player count and it builds a card with all thirteen rounds, from the double-twelve down to the double-blank, plus a total row.
Print at 100%. Mexican Train plays thirteen rounds, one per starting double from 12 down to 0. Each round you score the pip total of the tiles left in your hand, and the lowest total wins.
How dominoes scoring works
Round-based domino games like Mexican Train are scored by penalty points, so the lowest total wins. A full game is thirteen rounds: the first round starts on the double-twelve, the next on the double-eleven, and so on down to the double-blank. Each round ends when someone empties their hand or the game locks up, and every other player scores the total pips on the tiles still in their hand.
Because you are counting the spots you got stuck with, the goal each round is to play off your heaviest tiles first. Add each round onto the last down your column, and after the double-blank round the lowest grand total is the winner. This sheet lays out all thirteen rounds labeled by their starting double.
Using the sheet
Set your player count and print at 100 percent. Enter each player's leftover pip count per round and total the column at the end. It works for any round-per-double game, not just Mexican Train.
