Set the right difficulty
The Largest number setting controls how hard the problems are. Up to 10 suits kindergarten and early first grade, where kids are learning their basic facts. Up to 20 covers the facts that should become automatic in first and second grade, including problems that cross ten. Up to 100 introduces two-digit work and regrouping (carrying and borrowing), and Up to 1,000 gives three-digit practice for older students. Subtraction problems are always arranged so the answer never goes below zero, which keeps them appropriate before negative numbers are taught.
Column layout vs horizontal
The Column (stacked) layout shows each problem vertically with a line to write the answer under, which is how regrouping is taught and the format most worksheets use for two- and three-digit work. The Horizontal layout writes each problem on one line, which is better for quick fact practice with small numbers. Pick whichever matches what the child is working on.

Short daily practice builds fact fluency faster than long weekly sessions.
