The thing that separates a stencil from plain block letters is the bridges: the little gaps that connect the middle of a letter to the rest of the sheet. Without them, the center of an O, A, or P would fall out the moment you cut the letter, leaving you with a hole instead of the shape you wanted. Proper stencil fonts build those bridges in, which is exactly what this maker uses, so the letters you print are ready to cut without falling apart.
Pick the outline setting if you want to trace the letters onto a surface or cut them from card as a reusable stencil, since the thin outline shows exactly where to cut.
