The $5 paste that removed a 15-year rust ring from my tub in 90 seconds, after Comet, Bar Keepers Friend, and vinegar all failed.
We have hard water and an old enameled cast-iron tub, so there's been a brown rust ring around the drain for as long as I can remember. Over the years I tried Comet, Bar Keepers Friend, vinegar, baking soda paste, and a magic eraser, the best I got was maybe 30% off with hard scrubbing.
A friend in England told me about The Pink Stuff. I scooped a teaspoon onto a damp sponge, scrubbed lightly in circles, and the whole rust ring came off in about 90 seconds. The tub looks new.
It's mildly abrasive, it's fine on enameled tubs and most hard surfaces, but spot-test anything delicate or high-gloss first.
In my case a 15-year rust ring came off in about 90 seconds with light scrubbing.
