Whatafit Resistance Bands Set

8.7/10 Our verdictHands-on tested, not gifted

The band set that replaces a rack of dumbbells, handles plus a door anchor make presses, flyes, rows, pulldowns, curls and triceps easy to set up. Way more useful than loop bands for full workouts.

Why handles beat loop bands

For a full workout routine, the Whatafit set with handles works really well. The handles and the door anchor are what make it click, you can set up presses, flyes, rows, pulldowns, curls, and tricep work without fighting the band. I tried loop bands too, but for the kind of full routine most people are doing, this style is way more useful.

The set stacks multiple bands so you can dial the resistance up as you get stronger, and it all packs into a little bag, the whole appeal if you don't have room or budget for a rack of dumbbells.

What I liked

  • Handles make every exercise easier to set up
  • Door anchor unlocks rows, pulldowns and presses
  • Stackable resistance grows with you
  • Packs into a bag, great for travel and small spaces

What to know

  • Not a true barbell/dumbbell replacement for heavy lifting
  • Door anchor needs a solid door
  • Bands wear over years of use
  • Form takes a session to dial in

Common questions

Loop bands or the handle set?

For full workouts like presses, rows and curls, the handle set is far easier to use. Loop bands are better for mobility and glute work.

Do you need the door anchor?

Yes if you want rows and pulldowns, it's what lets you pull from different angles.
