Make and print square-grid graph paper to any spacing you need. Set the squares per inch, the line color, and the page size, and it draws a to-scale grid you can print at 100 percent, so every square is exactly true to size for math, plotting, drafting, and design.
Prints to scale at 100% (turn off fit-to-page) so each square is exactly true to size. Four or five squares per inch (about a quarter inch) is the classic quad-ruled size; ten per inch is engineering paper for fine plotting.
How to print graph paper to the right size
The one thing that matters with graph paper is that the squares come out true to size, so you can measure and plot on them accurately. Choose your squares per inch, then print at 100 percent scale with fit-to-page turned off. If you let the printer shrink the page to fit its margins, every square shrinks with it and the grid is no longer accurate. Keeping the width and height at or below the printable area (about 7.5 by 10 inches on US Letter) avoids that.
Which grid size to choose
Four or five squares per inch (roughly quarter-inch squares) is the classic quad-ruled paper used for general math and graphing. Eight or ten per inch gives a finer grid for engineering drawings, detailed plots, and small-scale design. Turning on a heavier line every five squares creates the familiar bold-and-light look of engineering pads, which makes it easier to count across the page. Pick a light blue or gray line if you plan to draw over it in pencil or pen, or black for maximum contrast.

Graph paper keeps handwriting and figures aligned, which is why it is standard for plotting functions and coordinates, laying out floor plans and room designs to scale, keeping columns of numbers straight, cross-stitch and pixel-art planning, and any drafting where proportion matters.
