Current evidence ledger
Mango Power states that its PiPV system received UL 3700 recognition; that claim still needs exact directory and configuration matching before we label it independently verified. EcoFlow and Craftstrom publish inverter-level UL claims. Enphase’s balcony system is European rather than a U.S. 120V product. Bright Saver makes broader system claims that also need model-level matching.
How to read a certification claim
Record the standard, certification organization, listing number, model number, permitted components and installation instructions. Search the certifier’s directory or request the certificate. Marketing copy without a traceable model should remain labeled as a manufacturer claim.
Why configuration matters
Complete-system evaluation can depend on the specific panels, inverters, cable, connector, protection, mount and firmware. Replacing a component can take an assembly outside the evaluated configuration even when the substitute has its own certification.
Submission policy
Manufacturers may send public certification evidence through our contact page. Inclusion is free and does not imply recommendation. Affiliate relationships never change the evidence label.
Before you buy
- Confirm the current state, utility and local requirements for the exact address.
- Match certification evidence to the complete system and exact configuration.
- Verify safe mounting, the intended circuit and any landlord or association permission.
- Calculate savings from realistic production and onsite use, not headline wattage.
Quick answers
What is UL 3700?
It is a testing and certification framework for complete interactive plug-in photovoltaic systems.
Is UL 1741 enough?
It can be important inverter evidence, but it is not automatically complete-system certification.
Does certification make a system legal everywhere?
No. Certification and legal permission are separate checks.
