Choose for the outlet you actually have
| Use case | Good fit | Main check |
|---|---|---|
| Emergency trunk cord | Level 1 access where permitted | Slow recovery and outlet condition. |
| Regular 240V charging | Known dedicated compatible receptacle | Circuit, plug type and continuous-load setting. |
| Travel between known sites | Multiple verified charging locations | Adapters and receptacles must be intended for the use. |
| Daily outdoor setup | Weather-rated listed equipment | Cable routing, strain, enclosure and theft exposure. |
Choose for your use case
Slow but broadly useful where a suitable outlet exists.
Requires a matching 240V receptacle and circuit.
Often cleaner cable management and smart features.
